Noseslides

Hello, today is September 30th. I know, I know, I haven’t posted in a while. I should never make promises for posts anymore. But to be honest, I was caught up in recreational study, and when it came time to post, I was too tired, or had to go to bed. However, I can check off one of the new tricks from my list: NOSESLIDES. I love doing them as much as I love the name. But, I am kind of sad. A lot of my friends are quitting skating. They feel this way because, one of my friends tried to kickflip a 3 stair, and broke his foot/ankle. So now, I think people are scared to skate. I don’t know for sure though. Also, my other friend got me playing the trial version of World of Warcraft, even though I don’t play video games that much. It’s really fun, but expensive, so I don’t know what I’m going to do when the trial finishes. Probably skate more…haha. Okay, so that is all for now. Talk to you sometime in the near future.

School Work and Future Tricks (And a Sesh)

Hey everybody, today is September 25th. I have not posted in a while, and it is because I have been swamped with projects since school has started. I have had 5 in two weeks! Its been a pretty tight schedule for me, and its been hard to even be able to go out and skate. But thankfully, its a three day weekend, and I barely have any homework. It’s great. Today, I had an awesome  sesh with some of my best friends, and we were skating their new box, some gaps, and a manual pad. My favorite was definitely the gap, even if I fell 1 or 2 times. It was still fun, because usually I skate alone. Anyway, I been landing varials more frequently, but for some reason, a lot of people think I’m lying. It’s just ridiculous. I skate for myself, and I don’t need critics telling me if I’m good or not. Also, Its been around 1 year since I’ve started skating, and I feel like I’ve gotten better in the last 2 or 3 months than that entire year. So, when it gets cold enough outside, it looks like I’m going to go back to skating in my basement, which isn’t a bad thing. So, I’ll leave you with a couple tricks I want to land in the next year. Also, I’ll be posting all weekend, so check back tomorrow, the day after that, and the day after that. See you then.

Tricks I want to land in the upcoming year (in order)

Kickflip

FS flip

Tre Flip

BS flip

Noseslide

Tailslide

Krooked Grind

I’ll go back and edit this post and x off the ones I can land. See you tomorrow.

Topic Of The Week #2- Up And Coming Skaters

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUDFwqWqGCo

If you watch the video, and you will see an extremely talented skater, and this was only when he was 15, and now is the age of 18. From what I hear, he is a lot better now. My friend told me about him, and I only hope to see more of him in the future.

But, nowadays, up and coming skaters are the new thing. Why, you may ask? Well, it is because of video sharing sites, where skaters can post videos of themselves doing a simple ollie, or switch flipping a 10-set. Before sites like youtube.com and google video, you would have to know someone who knew somebody to get sponsored. But, today you could live in the middle of nowhere, and get a major deal.

My opinion on the situation is that what I am seeing is absolute history in the making. With all of these skaters exposing themselves, you have no idea who could be the new Bam Margera or Tony Hawk. It could be you, or even me. So, what I am trying to get at is that up and coming skaters are great for the skateboarding community and that there is a huge opportunity for anybody with a dream to get sponsored.

PS-I landed my first varial flip today. It wasn’t clean, but it was a varial :)

Hey everybody, today is September 15. I’m going to get down to it. I have not posted in a while because I had a serious english project that took up my entire weekend with almost no time to skate. It was terrible. Haha. But yeah, so I am going to do a topic of the week, but it is going to be video based. That way, it won’t get boring at all.

So, I tried to make my own skateboarding wax for my new box, but it was a fail :( Whenever I tried to wax the metal part, it come off in crumbles. However, my friend gave me his wax and his was a lot better. Got to get his recipe! Haha. So, either, tomorrow or the day after that expect a new topic of the week. See you then!

Hey Very Long Time No See

Today is 9/9/09, and is the first day of school for me, and everything went really well. I found out that a bunch of my friends are in different classes with me, which was a surprise, because when ever I asked somebody what their schedule was they always had different classes. Anyway, the reason I haven’t updated in so long was because my computer was broken. The problem was that nothing showed up on the screen. So, I had to talk on the phone for an hour and that was no help, so I sent it to HP and now all is good. Plus, I have been doing a bunch of skating recently and got some new tricks in. When my sister and brother in-law came to visit, I went to the local skate park and met some new people who taught me a bunch of stuff, so thanks to them, I can now 50-50, 180 out. So, that’s all that has been going on right now, and expect a new post every 2 days instead of 3 or 4. Not only word posts, but video posts and skating and music reviews as well, so that’s all for now.

PS- I don’t know what the topic of the week is going to be, so I need suggestions. Please?
