Bonjour. So today was normal. School. Skate. I also found out that my vans will be here on wednesday or thursday so that’s awesome. I don’t have much to say today, so here’s a video. By the way, if you’re a teenager, I’m pretty sure you can relate to everything they’re saying.

Hey there. Nothing really happened today that was very special. All I did was hang out with a friend. So, I give you a skateboarding video.
If you don’t know what Battle at the Berrics is, it is a competition between pro skateboarders to win $10,000. This is the grand final between Chris Cole and Paul Rodriguez. Guess who wins? Yeah, I thought you would say that. Haha

If you watch the video, and you will see an extremely talented skater, and this was only when he was 15, and now is the age of 18. From what I hear, he is a lot better now. My friend told me about him, and I only hope to see more of him in the future.
But, nowadays, up and coming skaters are the new thing. Why, you may ask? Well, it is because of video sharing sites, where skaters can post videos of themselves doing a simple ollie, or switch flipping a 10-set. Before sites like youtube.com and google video, you would have to know someone who knew somebody to get sponsored. But, today you could live in the middle of nowhere, and get a major deal.
My opinion on the situation is that what I am seeing is absolute history in the making. With all of these skaters exposing themselves, you have no idea who could be the new Bam Margera or Tony Hawk. It could be you, or even me. So, what I am trying to get at is that up and coming skaters are great for the skateboarding community and that there is a huge opportunity for anybody with a dream to get sponsored.
PS-I landed my first varial flip today. It wasn’t clean, but it was a varial
